Chargers take on Arizona in Season Finale
First off, I just wanted to say sorry for my lack of posting for the last week or two. I’ve been out on holiday vacation, and haven’t had much time to update my blogs. Now that that is out of the way, let’s get into some Philip Rivers talk!
Rivers and the Chargers will host the Arizona Cardinals Sunday afternoon. A win will secure homefield advantage throughout the playoffs, something the Chargers desperately need. They do not want to be traveling to the east coast into possible cold weather.
“Now it’s one game to determine if everything is coming through San Diego,” Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers told the team’s official web site. “I don’t think there is any reason for a letdown. We’re playing at home and obviously the place will be cranked up.”
Rivers should have a solid performance against the struggling Cardinals. I’m looking for 200 yards and 2 touchdowns. I don’t think the Chargers will really need to pass the ball much though. I think they’ll get out to a strong first half lead and then run the ball the rest of the way.
