Philip Rivers Game Recap

Well I was close in my prediction for Philip River’s game performance against the Buffalo Bills. Rivers ended the game throwing 17-29 for 160 yards, 1 touchdown and 0 interceptions. It was a very steady game for Rivers. He managed it well and was able to hook up with Gates for 90 yards like I predicted.

The San Diego Chargers were able to get up early on the Buffalo Bills and hold them off 24-21 to extended their record to 10-2 on the season. The Chargers secured themselves at the top of power polls by continuing their win streak and by a stunning loss to the Indianapolis Colts. There is really no question now that the Chargers are the best team in the NFL and playoff favorites.

Something of concern about Rivers performance today was his 3 fumbles (1 lost). Rivers really needs to keep the ball up until he is ready to release. I don’t foresee this being an issue with Rivers in the future, but it is something we will monitor.

Rivers and the Chargers will celebrate this win for 24 hours before they start preparing for a much tougher opponent when the Denver Broncos travel to San Diego next week.
