Rivers Looks Good in Loss
Good News! Rivers played awesome! Bad News: The San Diego Chargers couldn’t pull off a victory in Green Bay.
Rivers went 27-for-36 for 306 yards and three touchdowns with one interception in a losing effort at Green Bay on Sunday. This was by far Rivers best performance of the season. Despite his jawing with Tomlinson on the sideline, Rivers was able to get him the rock on a couple of key passing plays. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to win.
11 of his 27 completes went to his wide receivers. The Chargers are still missing that deep ball threat, but once they get the running game going, it should open things up a bit more for Rivers.
The Chargers are now 1-2 on the season and face a struggling Kansas City next week.
