Rivers Name Player of the Week
Philip Rivers was recently named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against Denver. Rivers was 13-for-18 passing for 270 yards and two touchdowns in leading the Chargers, who had started the season 1-3, to a 41-3 blowout win over the Denver Broncos. Rivers also scored the first rushing touchdown of his career and accumulated a career-best 151.4 passer rating on the way to his second player of the week award in his three-year career.
