Rivers to Chambers
Philip Rivers has a new friend in San Diego. The Chargers announced a trade with the Miami Dolphins for former Pro-Bowl wide receiver Chris Chambers. The Chargers were in desperate need for a deep threat, bonafide #1 receiver, and they found one today.
It cost the Chargers a second round pick. And best of all, since the Chargers are on bye this week, it gives Chambers almost 2 weeks to learn the playbook and the system.
Chambers will still be the #3 look for Rivers, with Tomlinson and Gates being the first two, but he definitely adds a new dimension to this offense. Chambers isn’t a stud, but he is a very good player.
Look for the Rivers to Chambers connection to lead the Chargers to the playoffs.
