Philip Rivers Travels to J-Ville
Philip Rivers and the San Diego Chargers are traveling to Jacksonville this weekend to place the testy 6-3 Jaguars. Jacksonville will be a formidable opponent, but they do have weaknesses that Rivers can expose.
Jacksonville’s passing defense hasn’t been that tough. They allowed Brees to throw for something like 400 yards a few weeks ago. Odds are the Jags will concentrate on stopping LT and will dare Rivers to pass the ball. This is the game where Rivers NEEDS to get back on track. The fans aren’t putting up with his poor performances anymore.
Jacksonville doesn’t have anyone that can match up with Gates, so Rivers will need to get him the ball. Gates has only like 30 yards in the last 2 games. That’s just unacceptable if the Chargers want to win some ball games.
It’s always though for West Coast teams to travel to the East Coast and play at 1:00 EST. Rivers needs to get his act together and be up for the challenge.
As much as I want Rivers to perform well, I’m predicting a moderate to poor game for him. Something like 190 yards 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions. Please prove me wrong though!
