Rivers Posts Terrible Game against MINN
Philip Rivers and the San Diego Chargers ( now 4-4 on the year) fell in a big way to the Minnesota Vikings this afternoon. By now, most of you probably know that Adrian Peterson bitch slapped the Chargers all by himself as he went on to set an NFL record 296 rushing yards in a single game and 3 touchdowns scored. Wow! Where was the Chargers defense?
Philip Rivers and the SDC offesense didn’t provide much help either, butting up only 7 offensive points. Rivers played terrible, completing only 19 of 42 passing (below 50% completion) for a mere197 yards. Not to mention he tossed another interception.
I really thought bringing in Chambers would open things up for the Chargers offense. While Rivers was able to find Chambers for 5 receptions, he completely forgot about his best receiving threat Antonio Gates, who caught only 1 ball for 10 yards.
This game was pathetic all around.
