Rivers Struggles, But Chargers Win
Philip Rivers continued to struggle yesterday against the Indianapolis Colts. I don’t know what his problem is, but Rivers just simply isn’t the same quarterback under Chow that he was with Shotty. Somehow though the Chargers still managed to beat the Colts while only scoring one offensive touchdown.
Rivers ended the game 13 of 24 for 104 yards and 2 interceptions. His passer rating dropped to 77.9 on the season, compared to last season’s rating of 92.
“It’s probably the weirdest game I’ve ever been involved in,” quarterback Philip Rivers said. “I’ll never apologize for a win, but obviously I didn’t play the way I wanted to. . . . “
Really? You mean you didn’t want to throw 2 interceptions? Rivers is lucky the San Diego defense stepped up with 6 interceptions and a couple of scores or else Charger fans might be calling for his head.
