Rivers to wear a knee brace
RotoWorld is reporting that San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers will wear a brace on his surgically repaired knee. This is quite common for quarterbacks coming off knee surgery. Other QBs who have worn braces include Carson Palmer, Donovan McNabb and Mark Brunell (in his prime).
Thankfully Philip Rivers doesn’t rely on his scramble ability to make plays. He’s more of a pocket passer. It will definitely take some getting used to, but I’m sure Rivers will respond positively and be just fine. The Chargers won’t ask him to do much in the first few games.
