San Diego Chargers Schedule

Philip Rivers in Camp

From Rotoworld: As expected, Philip Rivers (ACL surgery) took part as the Chargers commenced training camp on Monday. Rivers ran the first team and says he’s “been going full go now for over a month,” but admitted that his knee “has still got to go a long way.” The Chargers are not going to limit him in camp as they prepare to face the most difficult schedule for passers in the league this season.

This is great news for Charger fans. Having Rivers at full strength will help this offense gel and get on track early. Remember how they stumbled in the first few weeks of 2007. They need to come out hot this year. One thing’s for sure, Rivers is ready to put this team on his shoulders. “The No. 1 goal is to lead,” he says. “I take it as my No. 1 responsibility. A lot of guys can throw and look pretty throwing it. Hopefully, I can do enough to help get us to the top. It takes more than one guy. It takes all of us.”
