Chargers vs. Rams Preseason Week 2
The San Diego Chargers are traveling to St. Louis to play the Rams in their second preseason game of 2008. The game is scheduled for 8:00 PM EST. Philip Rivers will start, and might play well into the 2nd quarter. Coaches will want to make sure his knee can hold up for an extended period of time. It’s not important who wins the game, just that everyone comes out healthy.
Even though we saw Philip run some routes and catch 2 passes in practice on Thursday, that doesn’t mean he’ll be running routes in a game. He’ll be cautious, yet still take some shots downfield. Rivers is a tough guy, so a couple hits won’t slow him down, but he should be careful not to overdue it.
