Rivers and the Chargers Roll the Jets

Philip Rivers threw for 250 yards and three touchdowns, and the San Diego Chargers picked up their first win of the season, 48-29 over the New York Jets. Rivers completed 19-of-25 passes and had all of his scoring tosses in the first half for the Chargers.

“It’s good to win a game,” Rivers said. “We needed to win a game. I think you saw what this team can do and the big plays we can make.”

The Chargers are now 1-2 on the season. Despite they’re record (should really be 2-1), they’re still one of the premier teams in the NFL. They proved it once again on prime time last night lighting up the Jets on offense and defense. Philip Rivers and the Chargers are a force to be reckoned with.

Through three games, Rivers is still playing awesome. He has 844 yards, 9 touchdowns and only 2 interceptions so far this season. He’s looking like a Pro Bowler more and more every game.
