Rivers and the Chargers Can’t Beat Atlanta
The San Diego Chargers really needed a win on Sunday against Atlanta. They just couldn’t do it… The Falcons beat the Chargers 22-16 in San Diego. That pretty much puts the nail in the coffin. The season is all but over.
“There were not as many good things in this game,” Philip Rivers said. “It was sloppy.” Philip was 17-30 for only 149 yards. He threw no touchdowns and no interceptions.
“Are we as good as we thought as we were going to be?” Rivers said. “Obviously not, based on the record. Were we as good as we thought when this season started? I don’t know. Obviously, we think we are. We just haven’t done it. All I know is we’re 4-8. It’s been brutal. All we can do now is not let it keep being brutal. Go play, see what happens.
“It will not beat me down. And I’m going to do all I can as one of the leaders to not let us beat our team down.”
Here are some Philip Rivers highlights from the game.
