AFC Offensive Player of the Year should have gone to Rivers
Peyton Manning has been awarded the AFC Offensive Player of the Year. Though he had great season but actually Philip Rivers deserved this title. He had a better offensive than Peyton Manning.

Just give a quick look to the stats of both the players:
Philip Rivers: 312/478 (65.3 percent) 4,009 yards, 34 TD, 11 INT
Peyton Manning: 371/555 (66.8 percent) 4,002 yards 27 TD, 12 INT
Peyton Manning had 77 more pass attempts but he failed to throw for more yards and touchdowns. Though Manning has slight edge in completion percentage but if we check we come to know that he had more attempts.
Manning had no running game, same with Rivers and also the two’s defense was terrible. Rivers in this year was sacked 25 times where as Manning only 14 times.
Yes, Manning has a faster release but Rivers also has the same. The former was given too much protection and got time to throw the ball but Rivers had a passer rating of 105.5 and Manning only 95.
