San Diego Chargers Schedule

Rivers is really the QB of first water

The season for the Chargers is full of chaotic ups and downs. The Chargers in every week had an anchor under center. Cooper was not in the game for 4 games. Jamal’s knees were also creaking. Cromartie became a shadow of himself and the unstoppable Merriman went down for the season. Jammer also came up to be lame at the end of a few games.

Philip Rivers, as always, was the sun, showing up every morning. He had undergone major knee surgery in the off season. He missed nary a snap during this very season. He rolled up touchdowns quicker even than the legendary Dan Fouts. He was widely despised by opposing fans, but he went about, as he always do, dismantling defenses with enthusiasm and style.

In the year of 2007 one of them was a lack of strength to really challenge the defense with the vertical threat in the season game. Several of the TDs were missed as he under threw his target forcing the receiver to slow for a wounded duck. In the last offseason he had worked with his knees and also strengthened his arm. The strength drove a lot of nails as he increased his TDs by more than half and at the same time reducing his interceptions.

Philip Rivers was in the season putting the ball in receivers hands inside and outside the hash marks. Even as prime targets such as Gates, Chambers and Floyd suffered with injuries. Philips Rivers always was spreading the ball around, hitting his check down receivers when coverage was tight. The best of all was throwing the ball away when coverage blanketed his targets.
