Is Rivers immature?
In last few years it has been heard and also seen on message boards about an awful lot of trash talk from all over the league and has been most especially from Denver. The topic is what an “immature jerk” Philip Rivers was. It was all detailed by an incident where Jay Cutler and Philip Rivers, among others, engaged in a cross-field yelling match.
When Philip Rivers was later on noticed exchanging talk with fans in Indianapolis, the masses seized on it as proof that Cutler was not to be blamed and that Rivers was an childish arrogant instigator.
Philip Rivers has very simply proved over and over again that he is a leader of men. True… he is. He is even a very emotional player. But one more thing… his maturity being questioned always seemed rather silly when one considers his response to on-field challenges to his composure, and also dating back to the multiple comebacks of his first year as a starter. You remember, especially the Seattle game, where L.T. was all but ignored on the final drive.
Cutler has of now pouted his way into forcing a trade. When the Broncos explored the possibilities of a mutually-beneficial trade with the New England team that touched on exchanging quarter back’s, Cutler went into a snit. He remained continuing to whine and moan and play the game of you-hurt-my-feelings-so-I’m-ignoring-you till the owner felt he had no choice but to divest himself of the problem child.
