Reasons why Rivers tone down
What Rivers said when he was asked about his going to tone down talking to opposing fans. He was also asked that why would he do that.
He said that it was a fun doing this. He further said there has not been profanity on either side. According to him it was not a vulgar. In Indianapolis that was a January ‘08 playoff game, every completion Peyton threw by saying that that’s how a real quarterback does it.
Rivers further added that after the slogan of the fans they scored and he said then, “Yeah, what now?”
Rivers said about the reasons for toning it down as, 1. It is not a distraction for any of the players and 2. It was not explained on the SportsCenter reel like he had explained the matter to others.
According to him, people just watched it and said, “This guy’s out of his mind.”
