Do you know why Philip Rivers is a top 5 QB in the NFL.
First of all he has always been one of the more talked QBs in the league. Moreover, coming out of NC State, he was originally selected by the New York Giants. In a draft day deal, Philip Rivers and Eli Manning swapped teams. He ended up on the Chargers.
Though statistically Philip Rivers has not won a Super Bowl like Manning or Ben Roethlisberger, but he has been the best quarterback of the three.
In the year 2006 Rivers began to rise by throwing for 3,388 yards with 22 touchdowns and 9 interceptions.
In the year 2007 Rivers threw for 3,152 yards, 21 touchdowns, and 15 interceptions, which did take a step down.
In 2008 he put up Pro-Bowl numbers by throwing for 4,009 yards, 34 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions that also included a passer rating of 105.5.
