Rivers compared to Peyton Manning and Tom Brady

Rivers was never a fun type of person for the Patriots to face. In fact he has always played tough in the leagues.

After Philip Rivers has been drafted by the New York Giants with the 4th overall pick in the year 2004 NFL draft, he was traded to San Diego. In the early 3 seasons Rivers amassed a 33-15 record, 77 touchdowns, a Pro Bowl selection and a reputation as one of the league’s grittier QBs.

John Chandler of a leading media, NESN, caught Rivers doing a photo shoot to honor the 50th anniversary of the NFL.

Rivers said him by joking, “I did actually get a decent workout in. It was great. It was fun. I can’t wait to see how it comes out.”

Both discussed football and his legacy compared to that of Peyton Manning and Tom Brady.

Rivers said, “Those two guys you mentioned are at the very top, there’s no question about it. Obviously the championships between them — there’s a handful, that’s for sure. But I feel like the more I continue to get better and play at a high level.”
