Rivers discusses about playing as QB

Philip Rivers has now joined the show to discuss playing quarterback and more. He said to the media that he thinks he could be ready if he reported to camp late like Brett Favre did. He also said that he had missed out on all the team-bonding. Rivers also mentioned that Brett Favre is an experienced player so he can probably do it.

Philip Rivers also said that he may call his own plays there in San Diego, but he even said that he does not want to. He added, “It’s hard for me to think and see that whole gameplan. I don’t think I’d like to do it.”

He also said that if he had to call his own game then he would rather come back to the same 5 or 8 plays.

Philip Rivers also shared few of the at-the-line calls of his and he also displayed how complicated it can get. He said, “You can over-analyze rather than just say ‘let’s run the play’ and let the play and the natural progression beat it.”

He added that the game within the game makes playing quarterback so much fun.
