Rivers launches foundation for children
Let’s hear first what Philip Rivers said: “It takes a very willing and loving adoptive parent to unconditionally love a child and have them become their son or daughter forever.”
Rivers have now entered his seventh season with the Chargers and with his wife Tiffany he is looking for a good way to give back to the club.
He said, “We wanted to find something that we have a great deal of passion for and not just to do a foundation to do one.”
Recently he, along with his wife, had launched the Rivers of Hope Foundation at SeaWorld in a special event there. Both of them hope that the new foundation will have a tremendous impact on the children of of San Diego County.
Rivers said, “Obviously the long-term goal is to find them a home forever.” He also added that reaching that goal takes time, patience, financial resources and also a personal connection.
He expressed his love for spending time with children and these children will benefit from the newly made foundation.
Rivers said, “[With] one-on-one interaction you get to actually see that they are real people and real kids.”
